Dr. Joel Fodrie spoke on the potential of oyster reefs as carbon sinks and sources. He based his interviews on an article published July 26 in the prestigious London-based “Proceedings of the Royal Society B,” which was authored by UNC’s Dr. Joel Fodrie with assistance from all current IMS faculty as well as several recent alumni (F. Joel Fodrie, Antonio B. Rodriguez, Rachel K. Gittman, Jonathan H. Grabowski, Niels. L. Lindquist, Charles H. Peterson, Michael F. Piehler, Justin T. Ridge).
