High school students from all around the nation took a trip to the Duke University Marine Lab, located in Beaufort, North Carolina, which allowed them to gain some hands on experience in the Marine Sciences that they would never be able to gain in a classroom. Utilizing the IMS Research Vessel, the Capricorn, students were able to observe phenomena such as bio-luminescence and participate in activities such as clamming.
