Dr. Sebastian has been selected for the prestigious NSF-funded Enabling the Next Generation of Hazards & Disasters Researchers Fellowship Program. The Enabling Program fosters the development of the next generation of scholars committed to researching hazards, risk, and disasters, explicitly encouraging multi- and interdisciplinary education and training. Leading scholars will provide mentorship for up to 20 competitively selected junior faculty. The Enabling Program is specifically aimed at developing junior faculty to become excellent scholars in their individual disciplines as well as in the broader hazards and disasters research community.
