Dr. Moore (EMES) was quoted in a News and Observer article about the challenges that NC Highway 12 and the Outer Banks face due to the rising threat of climate change. Nearly annual hurricanes cause flooding and severe damage to the only road which connects the small towns of the Outer Banks to the rest of North Carolina. Outer Banks locals and Dr. Moore weigh in on the region’s vulnerability as sea levels rise and storms strengthen.

Dr. Moore is expected to feature in another story in this series along with Rodriguez lab PhD candidate Molly Bost (EMES, MASC).
