Why NASA wants to measure all the water on Earth

Carolina researcher Dr. Tamlin Pavelsky is part of an international team mapping the amount of water on Earth. NASA, in partnership with the French space agency CNES, launched a satellite on a cutting-edge research mission that will examine the world’s river flow, lake water storage, and ocean circulation. The project aims to learn how much water there is and predict where the hazards are.
