Title: Diabase, Design, and Driving Innovation: A career transition from academia to the non-profit sector
Abstract: Today’s geoscience career opportunities look very different from the traditional careers of the past. As students and early career professionals, you learn and develop a multitude of skills that are applicable out of the traditional academic and research setting. This presentation, focused mostly on a graduate student audience, will cover stories, strategies, and skills needed to enable career transitions for those seeking to work in careers outside of academia.
