Survival Suit Training

Operations conducted between November 15^th and May 1^st or where water temperatures are below 60 degrees Fahrenheit require that an approved survival (exposure) suit be available for each passenger on board.  Boat Captains are reminded of the extreme danger of cold water and hypothermia.  It is imperative that special precautions be observed on operations where cold water and hypothermia are safety considerations. Even if the shoreline is close at hand a wet suit, wet suit vest, float coat or even wearing a life preserver may determine whether or not an individual will reach the shoreline safely before incapacitation or death. If you have not been trained, then   Training is MANDATORY!  If you have had prior training, you may take a refresher course.
