Research Interests
My students and I are broadly focused on understanding the rates of geologic processes so that we can better understand mechanisms. Active research in the isotope lab centers on these areas: -subvolcanic magma accumulation rates and volcano-pluton connections -forensic geology and geoarchaeology -polymetallic sulfide and porphyry mineralization -environmental isotope geochemistry
Research and Activities
My lab is generally focused on field-based research that relies on high-precision isotope geochemistry and/or geochronology. Our lab includes two thermal ionization mass spectrometers and all of the clean labs and sample preparation facilities in support of the research.
