Research Interests

I am currently studying seasonal sea surface temperature variability during the Mid Pliocene Warm Interval (MPWI) and subsequent early Pleistocene cooling. My research focuses on utilizing the novel paleotemperature proxy ‘clumped isotopes’ in bivalve species Mercenaria and how proxy data compares and can better inform model data during these key time intervals. I also am actively researching Strontium Isotope Stratigraphy to better refine the ages of MPWI and early Pleistocene shorelines along North Carolina.
