NOLA Times features Dr Luettich on his insights into the potential flooding that may come with the approach of Hurricane Irma

Dr. Luettich serves on the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East and gave some insightful information to the NOLA Times in an article titled “New Orleans, state reviewing Irma evacuation plans, just in case” on Hurricane Irma’s potential flooding. With the use of his storm surge model, the ADCIRC, he believes that the chances of a flooding event as devastating as Hurricane Katrina are low, but residents should still consider evacuating in order to ensure their own safety.
