New Graduate Student Welcome and Orientation 1

We are holding two short orientation zoom meetings to welcome everyone to UNC and give guidance and answer any questions that might be coming up for you all.  This is an unusual start to the year to say the least!

We will meet Wednesday, August 5^th at 2pm and Thursday, August 6^th at 2pm.  We are breaking this up into two 1 ½ hour time slots so that we don’t get zoom meeting fatigue too badly!  The first session (on the 5^th) will be with the Chair, Harvey Seim and the DGS, Brent McKee.  We will go over the program and give you a more detailed look at the next few years.

During the section session (on the 6^th), we will introduce you to the staff, IT support, and a few others. In this session, we’ll cover any access questions, library information, student government and all the other various questions that might come up.  It’s a good time to get a feel for how things run and who to ask for help when you run into questions.

These are mandatory meetings.  If you have a time conflict, please let me know ASAP and I’ll try to arrange another option for you.
